How to Change A Negative Image
If you think back on your experiences you will notice that the outcomes of a particular event, or your whole life for that matter, have been determined by how you were feeling about yourself. For example, job interviews go better if you are feeling like you are on top of the world than if you are feeling like your life is doomed. In general, life is determined by our psychological state. The problem lies in knowing how to change our perception of ourselves or of our lives. How can someone go from feeling like a failure to feeling like a winner
YOU HAVE TO RETRAIN YOUR MIND. The way you retrain your mind is by daydreaming or imagining yourself as a winner and not a failure or by imagining an optimal self. You imagine yourself as a winner over and over again. One research study divided their participants into three groups that were going to compete in some sport (I think it was basketball): one group imagined that they were playing at their best; one group practiced to get better; and the last group did nothing. The group that imagined their optimal self did better than any other group.
People think daydreaming is a waste of time but it is an effective way to change a bad situation into a good one. As you imagine your optimal self, your body begins to feel differently. So much so that a feeling of disgust and hopelessness can change to one of determination and certainty.
